CIS Continues Sustainability Assurance Partnership with Major Infrastructure Client

CIS has been appointed to deliver a further year of independent sustainability assurance services for a major UK infrastructure contractor, building on the successful completion of the client’s 2024 assurance programme.

The appointment reflects the client’s continued commitment to transparency, accountability and robust sustainability reporting, with CIS providing external assurance services against the internationally recognised AA1000 Assurance Standard (AA1000AS v3).

As part of the engagement, CIS will undertake an independent review of sustainability management processes, stakeholder engagement activities and environmental reporting data. The programme includes the verification of key sustainability information, assessment of governance and reporting procedures, and evaluation of how sustainability objectives are embedded within organisational decision-making.

The assurance process is designed to provide stakeholders with confidence in the quality, accuracy and completeness of reported sustainability information while supporting continuous improvement in environmental performance and corporate responsibility.

Working closely with management teams and key stakeholders, CIS will review sustainability data, reporting methodologies and governance arrangements before issuing an independent assurance opinion in accordance with AA1000AS requirements.

The project builds on CIS’s growing portfolio of sustainability assurance and ESG advisory services, helping organisations strengthen reporting frameworks, demonstrate transparency and meet the increasing expectations of customers, investors and regulators.

As sustainability reporting continues to evolve, independent assurance is becoming an increasingly important component of corporate governance. CIS is proud to support clients in delivering credible, evidence-based sustainability reporting that supports both compliance requirements and long-term business objectives.
