Design
Climate Integrated Solutions (CIS) delivered a tailored, non-penetrative roof-mounted solar PV system designed to maximise renewable output for communal building services at Barringer Square, part of Newlands Estate.
Working within the constraints of a newly refurbished roof (requiring zero penetrations) and an occupied residential building, the system incorporates:
- 48 high-efficiency solar PV panels
- SolarEdge optimisers to maximise performance
- A single inverter and new 3-phase distribution board
- Cabling routed through existing risers with full fire-stopping protection
- Live online monitoring for generation and CO₂ reporting
The solution was carefully coordinated to ensure minimal disruption to residents, with only a short, controlled shutdown required for final commissioning.
Results
The installed solar PV array now delivers measurable environmental and financial benefits, fully offsetting communal electricity demand for lighting and lift systems. Live performance monitoring enables transparent tracking of generation, carbon savings, and cost impact.
With ongoing energy price inflation accounted for, the system is projected to deliver substantial savings over its lifetime while helping support Wandsworth Council’s sustainability targets.
Testimonial
“CIS were professional and efficient, delivering a seamless service from start to finish. Communication and delivery throughout the project were excellent, and everything was delivered as expected.”
